Part 58. Making brakelines

Since all the brake parts on the car are new we decided to go for new lines also. So, new piping all the way through:

New lines, but they have no flaring or nuts yet.

toolset
Flaring tools – look complicated but actually very easy to use.

First the end of the line is cleaned with the grinding tool.

The line now has a clean and slightly rounded end.

The line is inserted and clamped secure. Then the other lever is turned until the line end is fully formed.

Line end now has  proper flaring.
